Emily is passionate about geology, especially structure and tectonics. She takes a creative approach in exploration and development. She enjoys rocks all week long as a geologist, and rocks all weekend as a rock-climber.
Short courses Chair
Courtney Marshall has been in the industry with Oxy and now CRC in Bakersfield, CA since 2010. Having graduated from Cal State Long Beach, she has gained a strong appreciation with the multitude of geologic quandaries that exist in California, and constantly seeks to gain a greater understanding of California geology and its related petroleum systems.
Brian is our volunteer photographer who makes sure every special moment is permanently captured for generations to come.
Technical Program Chair
Plamen has found his passion in the oil and gas industry where he combines his science and business aptitude to enable large capital projects move forward. When not occupied with day-to-day work, he is most likely planning his next international traveling adventure.
Larry is a very active proponent of geologists getting involved in all levels of the AAPG and taking advantage of the networking opportunities.
Anne actually really enjoys petrophysics, and is delighted that her job includes so much coloring. In her free time, she sleeps, and sometimes dances.
Poster Sessions Chair
Laura recently retired after working in applied geology and project management for over 35 years in oil and gas and environmental consulting geology. Current pursuits include traveling around the country to visit family, friends, and geologic outcrops.
Greg is a petroleum geologist who has worked exploration and development projects in California, the Texas Gulf Coast, and offshore Nigeria since 2003. In addition to serving in various roles in local and regional geological societies, Greg enjoys spending time with his family, coaching basketball, playing guitar, and doing other cool stuff.
